PRIVACY NOTICE ON THE PROCESSING OF FOUNDER’S PERSONAL DATA

1.        Purpose and Scope

This Privacy Notice has been prepared by Yüzüncü Yıl Teknoloji Girişimleri A.Ş. (“Company”), acting as the Data Controller, in accordance with Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK/Law”), to inform startup founders applying to Founder’s Program in accordance with Article 10 of the KVKK, on the personal data processing activities carried out, as well as the rights arising from the Law.

Personal data obtained within the scope of the Founder’s Program are processed in accordance with the fundamental principles set forth in the Law, for the purposes and legal grounds specified below, and are securely stored during the determined retention periods.

3. Categories of Personal Data and Collection Methods

Under the Founder’s Program, Personal Data in the categories of Identity, Contact, and Professional Experience of startup founders is processed. Our Company collects this data directly from the individuals via the application form on our website, project documents, candidate interviews, and due diligence documents. The processing is carried out through both partially automated and non-automated methods.

4.        Purposes and Legal Grounds for Processing Personal Data

Personal data processing activities within the scope of Founder’s Program are carried out to review startup applications, perform due diligence and execute of contractual processes and on the legal grounds of Article 5/2(c) of the Law “the necessity of processing personal data belonging to the parties of the contract, providing that it is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract”, and Article 5/2(f) of the Law, “the necessity of data processing for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject”

5.        Transfer of Personal Data

Within the scope of Founders' Programs, personal data shared with the Company may be transferred to law firms, potential investors, and banks for due diligence and investment processes.

To secure your data, we obtain data security commitments from third parties involved in the transfer, ensuring secure data transmission. Your personal data is not transferred abroad.

6.        Rights of the Data Subject

In accordance with Article 11 of the Law, you can submit your requests regarding the rights listed below to apply@100yvc.com. We will assess your request as soon as possible and conclude it within a maximum of thirty (30) days.

• Learn whether your personal data is processed,
• Request information if your personal data has been processed,
• Learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose,
• Know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred, domestically or internationally,
• Request rectification of your personal data if it is incomplete or inaccurate,
• Request the deletion or destruction of your personal data under the conditions specified in Article 7 of the Law,
• Request notification to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred, according to Article 11 (d) and (e) of the Law,
• Object to a result against you arising from the analysis of your personal data exclusively through automatic systems,
• Request the remedy of damages in case you suffer any harm due to the unlawful processing of your personal data.
